About this role
Google Cloud seeks an Applied AI and Commercial Operations Specialist to integrate AI agents into operational and analytical systems. The role combines engineering and business analysis across agentic tools, demand forecasting, capacity planning and performance management. Working with leadership, the specialist will use customer demand and Gemini model usage insights to inform infrastructure decisions involving compute, storage and AI chips.
Responsibilities
- Identify high-impact opportunities for AI tooling and automation across go-to-market (GTM) operations, develop an implementation roadmap, and execute it. Architect and deploy custom agent frameworks and workflow automation integrated with GTM and capacity systems, including tools that streamline manual regional processes.
- Partner with capacity planning to design and operate allocation forums for CPU compute, storage and TPU/GPU capacity, and automate global signaling processes. Audit and improve cross-functional GTM systems using autonomous models and feedback loops.
- Apply machine learning and AI tools to customer consumption and pipeline data to automate demand forecasting and inform procurement decisions. Build performance management systems and database platforms that track revenue-based metrics across data centers and sales regions.
Minimum qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Finance, or equivalent practical experience; 8 years of data analysis experience; experience in agentic programming or application development; experience with analytics tools and languages such as advanced SQL, BigQuery or Looker; and experience with cloud infrastructure, including IaaS compute, storage and networking products.
Preferred qualifications
A master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field; production experience building and deploying AI agents or LLM-based applications; understanding of data center capacity planning, GPU/TPU chip types and hardware metrics; ability to build consensus across teams and lead executive reviews; and ability to structure ambiguous work through automated systems.
Applicants may select a preferred location from the six listed cities; the role may also be located at Google’s Playa Vista, CA campus. The stated US pay range is $186,000–$269,000, plus a 20% bonus target, equity and benefits.
