About this role
Viking Electric seeks an AI Implementation Specialist in its Supply Chain department to turn AI experimentation into practical business results. The position is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, or may be located at another Viking Electric location. It reports to the Director of IS and Business Process.
Responsibilities
- Lead the rollout and adoption of AI tools and best practices across the organization. Identify opportunities to use AI and design repeatable AI-powered workflows, automations, and solutions.
- Work with business leaders, IT, and security teams to establish AI governance and responsible-use standards.
- Measure adoption, productivity gains, and return on investment, and share findings with leadership.
- Create training materials, playbooks, and other resources to help associates use AI. Monitor emerging AI technologies and recommend practical business applications.
Requirements
- Experience developing, implementing, or supporting software solutions, or a degree in Computer Science. Experience using AI tools and prompt engineering techniques; no minimum number of years is stated.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences. Experience creating documentation, procedures, or training materials, and the ability to work independently and across teams.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally.
Compensation and benefits: Annualized base salary is $67,000–$95,000, with a 10% short-term incentive bonus and a full benefits package. Base pay varies with experience, skills, and geographic location.
