Accel Entertainment seeks an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to turn business needs into AI solutions for its gaming operations. The role is listed for Burr Ridge, IL, and the Chicago Office.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and technical teams on AI strategies and delivery. Lead the technical design of AI agents, support retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using data platforms including Databricks, Azure SQL, and Salesforce, and integrate agents with enterprise systems and APIs to enable automation.
- Direct Azure application deployment for efficiency and scalability. Support reliable delivery through standardized workflows and CI/CD practices, while ensuring AI systems meet governance, compliance, and auditability standards.
- Advise leadership on scaling engineering teams. Mentor junior AI engineers through code reviews and design feedback, and develop training materials, playbooks, best practices, and train-the-trainer programs for technical and business teams.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field; at least 7 years of experience in AI engineering, machine learning, or software development involving deployed AI solutions.
- Strong Python skills for AI/ML, including APIs, testing, and CI/CD; experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face; hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Container Apps, SQL, and Blob services, plus Databricks and data lakes or warehouses.
- Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI, and compliance; experience integrating enterprise systems such as Salesforce and NetSuite through REST or GraphQL APIs. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.
Preferred
Experience with agent frameworks and vector databases, and familiarity with evaluation and observability tools.
The anticipated base salary is $135,000–$160,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and skills.
