About this role
Acuity Inc. seeks a Senior Platform Engineer - AI Enablement to build internal tools, agents and engineering practices that help AIS engineers and product managers work more productively with AI. This is an internal platform and enablement role, not ownership of AI features shipped in AIS products or an AI research position. The role requires on-site presence in Broomfield, Colorado, under a hybrid work model; candidates must be based in or able to reliably commute to the Denver metro area.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain AI productivity tools and the platform for developing, packaging and distributing them across engineering and product development.
- Design, build and operate AI agents and automations, including standalone services and capabilities embedded in chat or IDE workflows.
- Define productivity metrics, evaluate tools and agents, and improve the platform based on adoption, time saved and reduced manual work.
- Establish governance, deployment standards, guardrails, reviews and access controls for internal AI tooling. Address risks including prompt injection, token-cost regressions and agent behavior regressions; manage agent credentials, permissions and audit trails separately from human accounts.
- Partner with Security and IT to support adoption, run training for engineers and product managers, and collaborate with teams building AI-powered product features without owning their roadmaps.
Required background:
- Broad, hands-on software and platform engineering experience, including building and orchestrating single- or multi-agent systems rather than only calling an LLM API.
- Experience with AI evaluation, benchmarking and prompt engineering; working knowledge of AI security and governance.
- A record of independently completing multi-month efforts, sound judgment about reusable platform abstractions, and strong collaboration and communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred experience includes engineering-tool training or enablement programs; multi-team developer platforms; agent-orchestration frameworks such as Claude SDK or LangGraph; engineering telemetry, observability or CI/CD pipelines; and AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
The stated pay range is $120,800.00–$261,000.00 USD, with placement dependent on experience and geographic location. Listed benefits include health care, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) benefits, and commissions or incentive compensation depending on the role.
