Research Fellow (Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science)

Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow for the Asian Centre for Health Behavioural Insights & Interventions (HABITS), a partnership with the National Healthcare Group. Based at NTU Main Campus, Singapore, the fellow will apply AI to digital health research and work with the Centre’s Pillar Leads and Directors on research projects and competitive grant applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate and deploy AI algorithms for digital health and AI-driven research; explore and implement emerging AI methodologies.
• Support data platform development, retrospective data collection and analysis, and day-to-day research operations, including data storage, budgets, expenses, assets and ethics approvals.
• Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, coordinators and biostatisticians to deliver project outcomes.
• Publish findings in high-impact journals, present results to investigators and collaborators, and prepare technical reports and research updates for project leadership.
• Mentor junior AI researchers and help build the team’s capabilities.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field. Entry-level candidates with demonstrated expertise in AI, machine learning, deep learning or digital health technologies are considered.
• Strong ability to develop and apply AI solutions to real-world healthcare challenges; understanding of clinical research and healthcare data; proficiency in machine learning, deep learning and advanced AI techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
