Manager (AI and Trust)

IMDA seeks a Manager to help lead its Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) efforts in AI and Trust Technologies, cross-domain research, and translating research into business opportunities. The role is based at IMD - Mapletree Business City, MBC BLK 10, Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Develop research-to-business strategies aligned with national strategic interests; prepare RIE funding initiatives and theories of success for research programmes.
• Build collaborations with Institutes of Higher Learning and Research Institutes, and lead efforts to turn research findings into viable business opportunities.
• Drive international partnerships, including engagement with research communities and organisations such as WEF, GPAI and NIST. Represent Singapore and/or IMDA in research and technology forums and standards-setting committees.
• Monitor global technology developments and advise senior leadership on policy opportunities, potential value and anticipated risks. Communicate perspectives through blogs, social media and papers.

Requirements

• At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5–8 years of experience managing technology teams in research and/or engineering, plus familiarity with the RIE ecosystem.
• Strategic thinking, teamwork, strong verbal and written communication, presentation and engagement skills, and the ability to manage local and overseas stakeholders.
