AI Engineer – Generative AI & Agentic Systems

Netopsys AI Pvt Ltd is hiring a full-time AI Engineer – Generative AI & Agentic Systems in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, for its new Development Center. The role builds production-ready AI applications and SaaS products for Singapore and global enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop Generative AI applications with Python and LLMs, including RAG pipelines for document understanding, enterprise knowledge retrieval and context-aware responses. Implement chunking, metadata filtering and reranking to improve retrieval accuracy.
• Build agentic workflows using tool and function calling, structured outputs and multi-step reasoning. Design workflows that interpret user commands and securely interact with application functions and external tools.
• Develop backend AI services and REST APIs with frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask; integrate OpenAI, Hugging Face, and other hosted or local models with web, mobile and enterprise applications.
• Work with embeddings, vector databases, and relational or NoSQL databases. Develop conversational and voice AI solutions using speech-to-text, text-to-speech and real-time audio technologies.
• Apply prompt engineering, context management and model-response validation. Evaluate outputs, reduce hallucinations, and improve relevance, latency, reliability and performance. Containerize and deploy services with Docker; debug models, APIs, databases, integrations and production issues.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing and documentation; research emerging AI technologies and collaborate with frontend, backend, QA and product teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Technology or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; 1–3 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, AI engineering, Generative AI or a related field.
• Strong Python skills and practical LLM and Generative AI experience, including model or third-party API integration, REST APIs, backend services, RAG architecture, embeddings, semantic search, vector databases, prompt engineering and structured outputs. Understanding of machine learning, NLP, AI agents and multi-step workflows; experience with FastAPI, Flask or similar frameworks, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL or similar databases, Git and collaborative development. Strong debugging and analytical skills, and ability to explain personally developed projects and individual contributions.

Advantages: Experience with LangChain, LangGraph or LlamaIndex; pgvector, FAISS or ChromaDB; Whisper or other voice AI technologies; MCP or similar tool-integration architectures; Docker, CI/CD, cloud platforms and production deployment. JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js or Node.js knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
