About this role
phData seeks an Applied AI Solution Architect for its Applied AI team and India Agentic Delivery Center. The role leads the architecture and hands-on implementation of production-ready agentic AI solutions that reason, retrieve, act, and integrate with enterprise systems to deliver measurable client outcomes. This is a remote-first, full-time position in India.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution design and delivery for enterprise clients, translating ambiguous business problems into agentic architectures aligned with phData’s Intelligence Platform and delivery standards.
- Build reusable accelerators and reference architectures for deployment across clients, including fixed-price engagements. Design agents for reliability, scalability, security, observability, and safe, accurate performance, with evaluation and guardrails before and after deployment.
- Help establish the India Agentic Delivery Center’s scalable patterns, tooling, and ways of working. Collaborate with clients, forward-deployed engineers, data scientists, data engineers, platform and DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Maintain delivery quality through code reviews, documentation, testing, governance, and security and compliance practices. Advise senior clients on roadmaps, mentor team members, and contribute to practice standards, training, playbooks, and reusable intellectual property.
Required qualifications
- 6+ years as an AI, machine learning, software, or data engineer building and deploying production AI/ML solutions, including recent hands-on work on LLM-powered or agentic applications.
- Understanding of LLMs, agentic architectures, RAG, prompt design, context engineering, tool calling, orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, multi-agent patterns, memory, planning, and protocols such as MCP. Experience designing LLM and agent evaluation, guardrail, and observability strategies.
- Python and API development experience; strong SQL skills; expertise in cloud-native AI/ML platforms such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Azure AI/ML, or Snowflake Cortex; and experience across the software development lifecycle and with AI-assisted development tools.
- Consulting or professional-services delivery experience, ideally on fixed-bid projects; clear English communication, client presentation skills, and ability to work with distributed teams across the US, LATAM, and India.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; reusable multi-client solution development; AI/ML experience in life sciences, retail, financial services, or manufacturing; global or remote teamwork; and contributions to open-source or technical communities. A master’s or other advanced degree in a related field is also preferred.
