AI Data Annotator

DataXWorks is hiring an AI Data Annotator to help create reliable training and validation datasets for enterprise AI and machine learning systems. The role is listed as Chennai / Remote and covers projects in healthcare, retail, BFSI, and other data-intensive domains.

Responsibilities

• Annotate, label, and validate text, images, documents, and other domain-specific structured and unstructured data.
• Check annotation accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project guidelines and QA standards. Review ambiguous, sensitive, and edge-case samples, escalating them when needed.
• Work with data operations teams, AI engineers, and project managers to deliver datasets. Follow data governance requirements and, where applicable, compliance-aware processes aligned with GDPR, HIPAA, and enterprise data-handling standards.
• Document annotation decisions, quality issues, and workflow updates.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data annotation, data labeling, content moderation, data QA, or a similar data operations role.
• Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, NLP, computer vision, or data training workflows; ability to work with datasets, documents, images, and text.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical judgment for edge cases, ability to follow complex guidelines, and clear communication and documentation skills.

Preferred

Experience with healthcare, retail, BFSI, or compliance-sensitive datasets is a plus. The role provides exposure to production AI workflows, compliance-ready annotation processes, and data quality frameworks.
