Siemens Healthineers seeks a Sr AI Specialist in Pune to lead AI adoption across the software engineering organization. The role supports an AWS-hosted oncology SaaS platform that connects cancer patients with clinics throughout their care journey and is used by more than 35,000 active patients and healthcare professionals in North America and Europe. This is a strategic, hands-on role involving product development leadership for software and test engineers in an agile/scrum environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute an AI transformation roadmap, with KPIs measuring adoption and business impact. Partner with Engineering, Product, Quality Assurance, DevOps, Architecture, Security, and leadership to improve productivity, delivery, software quality, and AI governance in a regulated medical device environment.
- Introduce AI-assisted workflows for coding, code reviews, documentation, debugging, refactoring, architecture design, and knowledge sharing across Java, Kotlin, Python, Spring Boot, Angular, and mobile development.
- Advance AI-powered test generation, regression analysis, defect prediction, and release risk assessment. Apply AI to CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate AI platforms and frameworks, establish scalable integration patterns, and support internal AI assistants and engineering productivity solutions.
Required qualifications
- A BE, MSc, MCA, or bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- The posting states 8–12 years of related experience and requires 8+ years in software engineering, including at least 3 years driving AI, engineering productivity, developer experience, or technology transformation initiatives.
- Experience with generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, AI-assisted development tools, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, vector databases, RAG architectures, MCP, and prompt engineering; hands-on experience with the listed software technologies, cloud-native architectures, AWS, and modern DevOps practices.
Preferred qualifications
