Data Scientist III

Conduent seeks a senior technical lead for its Analytics & Data Science Practice. Although the posting is titled Data Scientist III, its overview describes the role as a Senior AI Solutions Engineer / Technical Lead focused on hands-on delivery of enterprise analytics, AI and generative AI solutions. The posting lists Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and Bangalore, Karnataka, as locations in India and specifies 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical implementation across projects, including GenAI applications using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search; design retrieval-augmented generation solutions, agent-based workflows and prompt orchestration.
• Build scalable APIs, services, integrations and cloud-native applications. Turn architecture and functional requirements into implementation plans, working with architects and product leaders to align solutions with enterprise standards.
• Establish coding, testing and deployment practices; conduct code reviews; and address security, scalability, performance, reliability, monitoring and operational readiness. Support production reviews, deployment, handoff and incident resolution.
• Contribute reusable components and platform capabilities, mentor engineers, support onboarding and participate in technical interviews.

Required qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, cloud engineering, analytics, AI, data engineering or application development, plus 3+ years leading technical delivery teams or serving as a technical lead on enterprise cloud-native projects. Hands-on Azure experience is required.
• Experience deploying enterprise analytics, AI or GenAI solutions to production, including prompt and RAG patterns, responsible AI controls, orchestration, AI/ML model lifecycle management and secure integration. Strong Python skills and experience with REST APIs, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, software architecture and design patterns are required.
• Hands-on Azure application deployment experience, including services such as App Service, Azure Functions, Container Apps, Azure AI Foundry, AKS, Storage, Key Vault or API Management. Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, test automation, observability, production support, root-cause analysis and performance optimization; familiarity with front-end development; and experience in Agile, cross-functional environments.
• A BS or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related technical discipline. The posting also calls for communication, stakeholder collaboration, analytical problem-solving and experience supporting global onshore/offshore delivery.
