About this role
Pfizer seeks a senior AI and data science leader to build and lead a team developing AI accelerators for commercial analytics. The role combines product leadership with hands-on development and deployment of agentic and LLM products that support faster, insight-driven decisions across markets. It is responsible for determining what to build and why, and for delivering measurable business value.
Responsibilities
- Set the vision, roadmap and priorities for agentic platforms; turn business needs into product requirements aligned with commercial strategy.
- Identify and prioritize decision-making use cases, define outcomes, success metrics and ROI, and track adoption and value realization.
- Coordinate decision architects, agentic engineering, data and semantic teams, UX and market teams. Own the backlog and release planning, including epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, and work with engineering on delivery quality and timing.
- Engage senior commercial leaders and global stakeholders through demos, feedback and prioritization discussions. Partner with market teams on training and adoption, and scale successful use cases across brands and geographies.
Qualifications and domain knowledge:
- Requires 10+ years in product management or product ownership, preferably involving data, analytics or AI-driven products. Candidates need experience working across business, technology and data teams and delivering complex enterprise-grade platforms.
- Requires proficiency in Python and/or R, advanced statistics, and hands-on ML, LLM and agentic platform development and deployment. Relevant knowledge includes APIs, MCP, cloud environments, data engineering workflows and agentic approaches such as multi-step reasoning, reinforcement and evaluation.
- Requires the ability to turn data insights into commercial recommendations, work with marketing, finance and brand teams, and present to C-suite and senior leaders. Domain knowledge includes marketing intelligence, third-party pharmaceutical data, media planning, budget optimization, pharma markets, HCP/DTP promotion strategy and compliance.
- Commercial analytics, pharmaceutical or healthcare experience is highly preferred; familiarity with AI/ML or GenAI/agentic systems is a strong plus.
This full-time role is based in Mumbai, India, with a hybrid work arrangement and exposure to senior leadership and global markets.
