The Payments Data and Analytics team at JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Data Scientist Associate to deliver high-impact insights and data-driven products. The role involves collaborating with global data science and product teams to drive the Payments data strategy and support internal sales and product teams. Responsibilities include exploring global payment network data to shape product strategy, designing internal data-driven products, and identifying opportunities to integrate agentic AI workflows for improved efficiency. You will apply a management-consulting approach to prioritize use cases, build robust data assets, and communicate complex analytical concepts to executive stakeholders. Required qualifications include 4+ years of experience in data science and analytics from problem framing to production deployment, a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, and hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Tableau. Candidates must have working knowledge of AI-powered development, including LLM fundamentals, prompt engineering, RAG, and cloud platform experience (AWS). Preferred qualifications include experience designing agentic AI solutions, background in financial services or fintech, and management consulting experience.
