Senior Specialist, Automation Architect

The Senior Specialist, Automation Architect will design and deliver scalable AI/ML and automation solutions to support Enterprise Architecture initiatives at MSD. This role involves developing high-quality, maintainable code and applying engineering best practices to ensure reliable and efficient systems. You will act as a technical expert, contributing to complex projects, guiding team decisions, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain tools, content, and capabilities for the Enterprise Architecture organization.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and apply engineering best practices across the team.
• Enable the successful delivery of complex automation projects.
• Act as a technical resource within the work group or project team.
• Ensure solutions meet high-quality standards, timeliness, compliance, and user experience requirements.
• Collaborate with other platforms to stay informed about new trends and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in SDLC with strong Python programming skills.
• Experience building modern AI/ML pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with RAG systems, LLMs, vector databases, and generative AI applications.
• Experience with prompt engineering to produce accurate responses from generative AI models.
• Solid experience designing, implementing, and scaling solutions with cloud services, data pipelines, databases, and APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in complex, evolving environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Work experience in Agile environments.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools.
• Prior experience with prompt optimization or evaluation frameworks.
