About this role
As a System Engineer at Qualcomm, you will join a high-impact team focused on building next-generation camera and imaging solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing embedded camera systems, image signal processors (ISP), and advanced 3A algorithms (Auto Exposure, Auto Focus, and Auto White Balance). The role involves close integration with hardware subsystems including motion sensors, video encoders, DSPs, GPUs, and display units. Key responsibilities include designing camera and image-processing pipelines, prototyping algorithms for hardware implementation, and optimizing these algorithms to meet performance, power, and quality targets. You will also develop and optimize Computer Vision (CV) and Machine Learning (ML) features for advanced imaging use cases. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience, a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience, or a PhD with 1+ year of experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Candidates must have 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python. A strong background in Image Processing, Computer Vision, or Signal Processing is required, along with excellent problem-solving skills. Preference is given to candidates from premium institutes. This role offers the opportunity to work on end-to-end imaging features for mobile devices and adjacent business units.
