ScienceLogic is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Skylar AI Platform team, focusing on their next-generation AI-powered observability platform. This role is critical for maintaining monthly software updates and ensuring the availability of lab environments for engineering teams. You will serve as the primary point of contact for end-to-end testing of the Skylar AI platform, leveraging AI to resolve issues and provide status updates. Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining lab environments for development and staging, managing automated deployment pipelines, and simulating user journeys to catch potential issues. You will also be responsible for regression prevention, performance gate validation, and integration testing for third-party APIs and services. The role requires keeping various Skylar components current and in sync, managing telemetry data generation, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. Required skills include proficiency in Node.js or Python, API integration, full-stack debugging, and frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript. Candidates should have strong experience in test automation frameworks like Playwright, load testing tools such as k6 or JMeter, and CI/CD pipeline automation. Infrastructure knowledge including Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana is essential. Experience with LLM API consumption, prompt engineering, and AI system debugging is required. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with product, data science, and engineering teams. Candidates should have 5-8 years of experience.
