Head of GenFX, India

The Regional Head of GenFX is responsible for the operational leadership, craft quality, and team health of GenFX within the India region. This role bridges the gap between global vision and local execution, ensuring that generative AI standards are consistently applied across all shows and artists. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring technical fluency, creative direction, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creative & Technical: Maintain fluency in the GenFX toolset, troubleshoot pipeline issues, and oversee the quality of GenFX output. Support supervisors and approve production-viable methodologies.
• Pipeline & Integration: Implement global standards, coordinate with traditional VFX departments (Compositing, CG), and adapt workflows to regional production realities.
• Quality & Governance: Enforce QC standards, ensure compliance with responsible AI policies, and conduct quality audits.
• People & Culture: Manage and develop GenFX supervisors and leads, oversee talent development, and foster a culture of experimentation and knowledge sharing.
• Production & Strategy: Manage capacity planning, workload distribution, and provide regional health reports to the Global Head.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in high-end VFX (Film/Episodic) with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing teams of 10+ artists.
• Deep expertise in at least one traditional VFX discipline (Compositing, DMP, Lighting, FX, Environments).
• Substantive hands-on experience integrating generative AI into professional VFX production.
• Advanced Nuke proficiency.
• Proven track record in operational management, including capacity planning and resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating across multiple studio facilities or time zones.
• Background in scaling new teams or capabilities.
• Familiarity with GenAI tools like ComfyUI, Runway, Luma, or Magnific.
• Python scripting literacy for pipeline automation.
