About this role
The Data and Analytics Lead will serve as a strategic and operational leader for the AMEA region, responsible for shaping and executing the data, analytics, and AI strategy. This role acts as a bridge between regional business needs, local Digital Leads, and global Data & AI initiatives, ensuring effective delivery of data science and AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary AMEA point of contact for data, data science, and AI matters.
- Coordinate with regional Digital Leads to align local business problems with the regional roadmap.
- Manage concurrent stakeholder conversations across multiple countries and functions.
- Scout global initiatives to identify reusable or adaptable projects for the AMEA region to avoid duplication.
- Hands-on design, build, and deployment of data science and GenAI solutions from prototype to production.
- Provide regular reporting on regional initiatives, blockers, and successes.
Qualifications
- 12-15 years of total experience in Data Science, AI/ML, or Analytics with demonstrable hands-on delivery.
- Experience working in a regional or matrixed role across multiple countries and cultures is a strong plus.
- Exposure to FMCG, Pharma, or Healthcare industries is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong technical proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ML/GenAI frameworks.
- Working knowledge of cloud and data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, and DBT.
- Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and agentic AI frameworks like LangGraph or Semantic Kernel.
This is a builder role requiring a self-directed individual capable of translating ambiguous business problems into scoped technical solutions while maintaining strong cross-cultural stakeholder relationships.
