About this role
The Controls Automation & Analytics Specialist will enable efficient, high-quality, and scalable internal control testing through data analytics, automation, and agentic AI. The role is responsible for preparing and validating large transactional datasets, developing repeatable automated tests to identify exceptions, and providing data-driven insights to the internal control testing team. Responsibilities include: Data, Analytics & Automated Testing Delivery: Define data requirements, perform data quality and reconciliation checks, build automated tests using SQL, Python, or R, and develop dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to support continuous monitoring. Agentic AI Enablement: Design and maintain agentic AI workflows for evidence intake, classification, completeness checks, and automated follow-ups. Define human-in-the-loop checkpoints and maintain prompt libraries and agent configurations. Governance & Collaboration: Ensure audit-ready governance for all automation and AI solutions, including documentation of logic, data lineage, and versioning. Collaborate with testing analysts to translate objectives into analytics use-cases and support root cause analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. Required experience includes 2–4 years in data analytics, IT audit, forensic analytics, or finance automation. Proficiency in SQL and at least one analytics language (Python or R) is mandatory, along with experience in BI tools and large transactional datasets. Exposure to LLM or agentic workflows in a business context is considered a plus. Professional certifications such as CISA, CPA, or CIA are preferred.
