About this role
The Applied AI Product Specialist II is a mid-level individual contributor in Deloitte Product Engineering, which develops agentic AI-enabled solutions for the organization and global clients. The role owns the value and viability of less complex products, leads cross-functional product teams, and uses AI and agentic tools to accelerate learning from concept through execution while retaining human judgment over product decisions.
Responsibilities
- Co-create and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned with product-line and business goals. Define and measure KPIs, demonstrate return on investment, analyze outcomes, and use early evidence to inform decisions and reduce total cost of ownership.
- Conduct continuous user research, direct stakeholder engagement, and competitive analysis. Work with business, engineering, experience, and delivery colleagues to prioritize customer problems and develop viable solutions.
- Use AI to deepen domain knowledge, explore market opportunities, simulate scenarios, synthesize research, test assumptions, and validate ideas before they enter the backlog. Build early, disposable functional prototypes to test solutions and architecture, supporting the Agentic Secure Software Development Life Cycle before engineering productionizes them.
- Foster empowered teams and an outcomes-focused product operating model. Remove obstacles, improve processes, encourage rapid learning, and share practices across the product community.
Required qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; 6+ years of product management or related experience; 1+ years building AI-based intelligent products; and 1+ year using GenAI tools for product-management activities such as research, synthesis, roadmaps, requirements, prototyping, and testing. Candidates need strong communication, collaboration, relationship-building, project leadership, prioritization, and attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications
Experience owning product value, viability, or P&L outcomes; modern product-management methods and lean experimentation; analytical, customer-focused, strategic, and cross-functional leadership skills. Fluency in orchestrating AI agents with source and confidence guardrails is preferred, as is understanding probabilistic generation, hallucination and bias controls, prelaunch evaluations, and postlaunch drift monitoring.
