About this role
The AI Solution Developer will build, integrate, and operate AI agents that act directly within Opella’s Manufacturing & Supply (M&S) core systems, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Quality Management Systems (QMS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This role focuses on designing and deploying production-grade agentic workflows that execute tasks and trigger transactions across supply chain and manufacturing operations. The position operates in a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) model, requiring close collaboration with business teams to ship working agents into live production environments. Main Responsibilities: Design and build AI agents for MES, QMS, and ERP systems; integrate agents via APIs and event-driven workflows; manage the full lifecycle from proof-of-concept to production; develop RAG workflows and multi-agent orchestrations; ensure reliability through data hygiene, human-in-the-loop controls, and GxP-aware guardrails; monitor performance and drift in production; and enable Citizen Developers by creating reusable patterns. Required Qualifications: Strong hands-on Python development skills with production-ready software engineering practices; experience designing and deploying LLM-powered and agentic solutions; proven ability to integrate solutions with enterprise systems; experience with MLOps/AgentOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar; and familiarity with cloud environments like Azure, AWS, or GCP. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline is required. Experience in life-sciences or regulated (GxP) manufacturing is considered a strong plus. Soft skills include a challenger mindset, outcome-obsession, and the ability to simplify complex systems for business stakeholders.
