AI Engineer Lead (Python + AWS) - Analytics - GESTC - Hyderabad

Deloitte’s Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC) Analytics/AI team seeks an AI Engineer to build and operate scalable AI and generative AI solutions for intelligent analytics and data-driven decision-making in tax services. Working with product owners, data engineers and business stakeholders, the engineer will take cloud-native initiatives from design and experimentation through production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain production-grade AI applications, including large language model systems, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and intelligent automation solutions.
• Develop model inference workflows and APIs using Python and FastAPI; integrate structured and unstructured data with SQL, cloud services and data processing tools.
• Deploy and operate workloads on AWS, including Amazon S3, Lambda, DynamoDB and Bedrock. Support legacy analytics and ETL solutions and help migrate them to the AWS stack.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to technical design, engineering standards and delivery quality.

Required qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in AI, machine learning or software engineering, plus a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or another technical field.
• Experience developing Python applications, including APIs, testing, debugging and automation; using SQL with structured and unstructured datasets; and building generative AI or LLM solutions involving prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG and vector databases.
• At least 2 years of experience with LangChain, LangGraph, FastAPI, Docker and CI/CD pipelines, and at least 2 years using AWS services including S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock and Boto3.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience building AI application interfaces with Streamlit, Gradio or React; orchestrating stateful AI workflows; and working with container orchestration, managed cloud environments or enterprise-scale AI platforms or analytics products.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Keras, scikit-learn, XGBoost or NLTK.

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Shift: 11 AM to 8 PM.
