Qualcomm India Private Limited seeks an AI and DSP Applications Software Engineer for its AI Processor Solutions team in Hyderabad, India. The role develops machine-learning applications and use cases for Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, working with AI hardware accelerators and contributing to applications for mobile and edge devices. Its focus includes AI-processing frameworks for video playback, gaming, camera and other multimedia use cases.
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, test and support applications for the Snapdragon AI Processor, including support for internal and external customers.
- Turn abstract needs into problem statements and designs; collaborate across teams to understand requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Build processing frameworks for Android, Linux, other high-level operating systems and embedded, real-time AI processors. Validate quality, performance and power consumption.
- Explore applications beyond mobile, including automotive, IoT and XR, while following strong software development practices.
Qualifications
- The posting welcomes engineers with ideally 2+ years of professional experience. It requires strong modern C and C++ knowledge, software development principles, object-oriented design, familiarity with computer architecture and operating systems, and real-time software concepts. - Education and experience alternatives are a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field with 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work; a related master's degree with 1+ year; or a related PhD. Preferred qualifications include practical C and C++ experience; object-oriented Python, Linux and embedded software development; knowledge of Linux drivers and high-performance computing. Experience with other object-oriented languages and understanding of Android Native/HAL and multimedia frameworks such as MediaCodec, Android Graphics and Camera HAL are pluses, as is understanding of machine learning, computer vision and digital image or signal processing.
