About this role
Insight seeks a Staff AI Engineer for its offshore AI practice. This hybrid role is based in the Gurugram or Trivandrum area of India. The engineer will architect foundational AI frameworks and lead delivery of scalable, secure, production-ready agentic systems and data pipelines, connecting AI research with enterprise reliability.
Responsibilities
- Architect advanced retrieval-augmented generation pipelines using chunking strategies, hybrid vector and keyword search, and reranking with Vertex AI Vector Search and BigQuery.
- Lead Contact Center AI work, including Dialogflow ES-to-CX migrations and integration of AI agents with CCaaS platforms such as UJET.
- Design unstructured-data ingestion solutions and ETL/ELT pipelines in BigQuery and Apache Beam for model training, fine-tuning, and real-time inference.
- Mentor Senior (L4) engineers, review code and architecture, and establish standards for AI observability and MLOps.
- Partner with onshore architects on technical workshops, proposals, and presentations of AI/ML business value to executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years in IT, with a record of architecting and deploying enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions and leading delivery of complex, multi-component systems; 2+ years of production-grade generative AI experience.
- Expertise building multi-agent systems with Google Agent Development Kit and orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain, including autonomous reasoning using ReAct and Chain-of-Thought.
- Deep RAG and search expertise; specialized knowledge of Google Contact Center AI, Dialogflow CX, CCaaS integrations, and Agent Assist; and experience building unstructured-data pipelines for LLM fine-tuning and real-time inference.
- Expert hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, including Vertex AI Search, Conversation and Model Garden, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and GKE. Ability to guide senior engineers, define AI safety and MLOps practices, and explain technical architectures to both engineering teams and executives.
