Birdeye is seeking a Senior Financial Data Engineer to serve as the technical backbone for its global finance team. This role sits at the intersection of revenue data, SaaS metrics, and AI automation, focusing on transforming raw transactional signals from systems like Salesforce, Recurly, and NetSuite into clean, trusted, AI-ready schemas. The successful candidate will partner with Finance Leads to deploy AI agents, automate reconciliations, and eliminate manual variance analysis. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining dbt models, designing semantic layers for SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, NRR, GRR, Churn, LTV), and ensuring data warehouse definitions align with NetSuite. You will collaborate on deploying Claude Code and Python-based agents to automate complex financial tasks, integrate LLM-powered tooling into pipelines, and implement automated testing frameworks to ensure data quality SLAs. Additionally, you will support FP&A and Accounting with executive-ready dashboards and perform deep-dive SQL analysis to resolve discrepancies. Requirements include 8+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and Snowflake, with mandatory expertise in dbt. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of SaaS metrics and experience supporting US-based finance teams or tech companies. A B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Preferred candidates are early adopters of LLMs (Claude, Cursor) and have experience building agentic workflows that autonomously investigate data discrepancies.
