About this role
Verizon is seeking a Sr Engr Cslt-AI/ML Engineering for its AI Platforms and AI Governance organization. The role will lead an engineering pod building and operating an enterprise AI governance ecosystem that connects AI development platforms with safety and compliance systems. Its goal is to replace fragmented, manual governance with automated deployment controls and enable same-session approvals for Verizon AI.
Responsibilities
- Own the overarching architecture, set enterprise standards, and work with Legal, InfoSec and Responsible AI risk organizations on guardrails.
- Architect and code governance pipelines that incorporate Security and Responsible AI, Integrity and Legal (RIL) controls into the deployment lifecycle.
- Implement Tau2 agent-simulation benchmarking and continuous, real-time observability telemetry for production LLMs.
- Build API integrations between developer platforms and governance hubs, including Engram and the Agent Registry. Architect identity and access management and routing in the Agent Gateway to maintain secure access boundaries for autonomous workflows.
- Advance evaluation metrics and scientific innovation, including potential intellectual property and patents.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or six or more years of work experience, plus at least five years of relevant experience through work, specialized training or both. The role requires deep expertise in AI solution deployment patterns, enterprise-scale AI/ML governance, and FinOps for managing GPU-cluster and compute-credit costs through resource allocation. Preferred qualifications include deep fluency in AI/GenAI architecture and distributed systems.
The position is hybrid in Chennai, Hyderabad or Bangalore, India, with work-from-home and assigned office days set by the manager. Apply before October 8, 2026.
