Lead AI/ML Solutions

Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering governed agentic AI solutions for Standard Chartered Bank in Chennai. The role carries end-to-end accountability from discovery and architecture through implementation, production adoption, support and continuous improvement. It is an office-working, permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Define engineering strategy, architecture principles and a roadmap for agentic AI capabilities. Translate business, risk, compliance and regulatory needs into secure, scalable, reliable, observable and auditable designs with measurable outcomes.
• Guide implementation of orchestration, tool calling, retrieval, memory, workflow automation, enterprise integrations, human-in-the-loop controls and sandboxed execution. Build reusable engineering patterns, platforms and AI-assisted SDLC accelerators.
• Own scope, quality, timelines and value across design, build, testing, release and production support. Establish standards for code quality, reviews, documentation, automated testing, prompt and model evaluation, release controls, traceability and evidence capture.
• Ensure production readiness, including security, resilience, telemetry, incident response, rollback and operational handover. Identify and manage delivery, technology, data, model, operational and regulatory risks; embed responsible AI, data protection, access controls, approvals and auditability.
• Work with business, product, risk, compliance and technology stakeholders on priorities, controls and adoption. Monitor performance, evaluation results, incidents, control effectiveness and business outcomes to guide improvements. Set team direction, allocate work, coach engineers and develop talent.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of relevant hands-on experience, including engineering leadership and delivery of enterprise AI/ML or agentic AI solutions in regulated environments.
• Skills in agentic AI architecture, enterprise software engineering, platform integration, AI-assisted SDLC, team development and delivery accountability.
