AI / ML Engineer

Intro: The AI / ML Engineer is responsible for designing, building and delivering production-ready AI applications and systems that leverage cloud or on-premise AI services and models. The role emphasizes applying Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) and may also include deep learning, neural networks, conversational agents and image processing. The position is based at CDC2E - SEZ, Chennai and requires full-time work. Key responsibilities: - Act as an SME and lead development and deployment of AI models, ensuring alignment with business objectives. - Design and implement production-quality AI pipelines (cloud or on-prem) and integrate AI models with software systems and platforms. - Apply generative AI models and LLMs as part of solutions; work on deep learning, neural networks, chatbots and image-analysis tasks as required. - Collaborate with and engage multiple cross-functional teams; contribute to key technical decisions across teams. - Provide solutions to technical problems, coordinate efforts to optimize AI system performance and reliability. - Mentor and manage team members; be responsible for team decisions and improving technical capabilities. Required qualifications and experience: - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (posting lists 5-10 years of experience). - 15 years of full-time education. - Must-have skill: proficiency in Large Language Models (LLMs). - Experience designing and implementing AI applications using cloud AI services and on-premises infrastructure. - Strong knowledge of generative AI techniques, deep learning frameworks and neural network architectures. - Proven ability to build and maintain production-grade AI pipelines and deploy/integrate models into applications.
