About this role
The Storage AI Specialist will join the HPE Hybrid Cloud team to lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for the next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. This role focuses on designing and building production-grade AI and Generative AI solutions to help customers reimagine their IT needs. Responsibilities include developing AI agents, copilots, and workflow automation systems to improve productivity, as well as implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using vector databases. The specialist will fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize machine learning and foundation models for accuracy, performance, safety, and cost, while building scalable APIs and platforms for production deployment. Additionally, the role involves establishing monitoring, observability, and governance mechanisms to ensure responsible AI deployment and driving the adoption of emerging AI technologies across the organization. Required qualifications include a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, with typically 6-9 years of experience. Proficiency in Python, SQL, Java, and Go is required, alongside experience with PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and LangChain. Candidates should have expertise in Generative AI techniques including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RAG, as well as cloud and MLOps tools like AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and MLflow. Preferred skills include experience in the storage domain (Block/Object/File Storage), LLMOps platform experience, and knowledge of GPU orchestration, model optimization, and inference scaling. This is a hybrid role requiring an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office.
