About this role
The Storage AI Expert will join the HPE Hybrid Cloud team to lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for the next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. This role focuses on designing and building production-grade AI and Generative AI solutions to help customers reimagine their IT needs. Responsibilities include developing AI agents, copilots, and workflow automation systems; implementing RAG architectures using vector databases; and fine-tuning, evaluating, and optimizing machine learning and foundation models for performance, safety, and cost. The expert will build scalable APIs and platforms, partner with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities, and establish monitoring, observability, and governance mechanisms for responsible AI deployment. Mentorship of engineers and promotion of AI best practices are also key components of the role. Required qualifications include a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, with typically 9-12 years of experience. Technical proficiency in Python, SQL, Java, and Go is required, along with experience in PyTorch, Scikit-learn, LangChain, and various generative AI models like GPT, Claude, and Llama. Cloud and MLOps experience with AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and MLflow is essential. Preferred skills include expertise in storage domains (block/object/file), LLMOps, GPU orchestration, model optimization, and enterprise AI governance. This is a hybrid role requiring an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office.
