About this role
Role Purpose: You will join a world-class Network Security team at Cisco, focusing on the development of AI-agentic test workflows, system testing, product security testing, automation, and validation for next-generation firewall technologies. Responsibilities: Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and cloud-native security services. Perform complex troubleshooting, including deep packet analysis and root cause analysis (RCA). Drive agentic security autonomous flows and build frameworks using AI technologies, Python, and REST APIs. Partner with engineering teams to file bugs and scope future features. Minimum Qualifications: 4 to 8 years of experience. Hands-on experience with LLMs (GPT, Claude) for test automation. Proficiency in Python-based AI libraries and REST API integrations. Deep mastery of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPSec, SSL-VPN, NAT, DNS/DHCP). Practical knowledge of public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes, VMware ESXi). Experience with Linux/Windows host tools and traffic generators. Preferred Qualifications: Industry certifications such as CCNP or CCIE. Strong ability to troubleshoot complex application, OS, and platform issues. Experience building AI/LLM-based workflows for test generation, failure triage, and log analysis. Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills to articulate technical risks and quality metrics.
