Cisco is seeking a Software Engineering Technical Leader to drive the transformation of its platforms for next-generation cloud-native and multi-cloud services. This role focuses on building tools and platforms that enable engineers to procure, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure at scale. You will act as a senior technical leader for software and AI-first platform transformation, shaping technical direction and influencing teams to deliver high-impact outcomes. Responsibilities include leading strategic platform automation, developing AI-enabled capabilities such as assistant or agent-driven workflows, intent-based interactions, and ML-enabled operational intelligence. You will architect cloud-native microservices, guide cross-organizational technical planning, and apply LLM/ML frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, PyTorch, or TensorFlow to enterprise-scale production use cases. You will also lead improvements in observability, resiliency, and automation strategy while establishing high standards for CI/CD and secure engineering practices. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience (MS preferred) and 9+ years of software development experience with Python and/or Go in enterprise cloud environments. Candidates must have deep experience in cloud-native architecture, APIs, microservices, platform automation, Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, and DevOps/SRE-aligned operating models. Proven experience delivering AI/ML-enabled capabilities in production and scaling adoption across teams is required, along with strong experience with SQL, NoSQL, and distributed systems. Preferred qualifications include experience defining AI strategy for platform engineering, expertise in hybrid cloud platforms, observability, reliability engineering, Infrastructure as Code, and a strong track record of mentorship and technical community leadership.
