About this role
Glean is seeking a Software Engineer for its Evals & Observability team in Bangalore to build the platforms that measure, explain, and improve AI quality at scale. You will own core systems for running large-scale evaluations, processing traces, and powering observability workflows to ensure the reliability of Glean’s Assistant and Agents. Responsibilities include designing large-scale evaluation pipelines, evaluating frontier and open-source model releases, building agent observability infrastructure, and partnering with cross-functional teams to integrate quality signals into the product development lifecycle. You will own backend systems from architecture through production, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient. Requirements include 6+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or distributed systems, with strong proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or C++. You should have experience with distributed data pipelines, production services, and cloud-native infrastructure. Experience with LLM applications, tracing, data warehouses, or ML infrastructure is considered a strong plus. This is an in-person role based in Bangalore.
