Software Engineer, AI

Conga seeks a Software Engineer, AI to develop next-generation AI and generative AI products and SaaS solutions for its commercial operations platform. Based in Bangalore, the role reports to the Sr. Manager, AI/ML and follows a hybrid arrangement requiring three days per week at Conga’s Electronic City office.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software solutions, contributing to the technical foundation of Conga’s products.
• Participate in the AI development lifecycle, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, evaluation and deployment. Research and experiment with generative AI techniques to improve model performance and capabilities.
• Review other developers’ code against coding guidelines and best practices. Report bugs and errors, evaluate product code against specifications, and work with cross-functional teams to maintain quality throughout development.
• Work with product management on requirements and increasingly take ownership of software through production maintenance in a DevOps model.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software development experience, including development practices and design patterns, plus related AI development experience. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• Development expertise with Python, FastAPI, PyTest, Celery and other Python frameworks; high-level familiarity with AI/ML, generative AI and MLOps; and hands-on experience with object-oriented programming, concurrency, design patterns and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Terraform and GitHub Actions, frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph, and SQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, MSSQL or Postgres. Experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure is required; GCP experience is beneficial.
