Role Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our AI-native product development team. You will own end-to-end quality and release certification for a full-stack platform utilizing Next.js, React, TypeScript, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, GraphQL, Airflow, MCP-based AI agents, Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker. This role covers UI, API, data, async job, and AI-agent layers, requiring the design of durable automation frameworks and the responsible use of AI coding agents for test strategy, generation, and triage. Responsibilities: Own test strategy and automation across the stack, including unit, API, integration, and E2E tests. Define release exit criteria and perform regression testing to provide go/no-go signals. Build test coverage for the AI Agent Workspace, including prompt/response evaluation, tool-call verification, RAG pipeline retrieval accuracy, and guardrails. Execute non-functional testing such as performance, load, resilience, and security testing. Validate decoupled async execution models and maintain automated quality gates in CI/CD. Qualifications: 3 to 5 years of experience in software quality engineering or SDET roles. Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI testing and pytest/pytest-django for backend testing. Proficiency in component testing with Vitest or React Testing Library. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines. Demonstrable experience using AI coding agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) for test automation. Understanding of AI-agent/LLM application testing, including prompt evaluation and tool-call verification. Experience testing asynchronous, job-queue-based systems (e.g., Airflow, Redis). Excellent defect triage and communication skills. Preferred: Experience in EDA/semiconductor domains, testing MCP servers, and visual regression testing.
