The Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join a VP-funded, multi-year charter focused on building AI-native engineering systems. The goal of this team is to eliminate reactive operational work by creating autonomous systems that resolve issues, self-heal pipelines, and provide a knowledge foundation for AI-assisted development. You will work at the frontier of applied AI, developing LLM-powered remediation agents and autonomous deployment platforms to support over 55 teams and 500 engineers. Responsibilities include designing and building agentic remediation systems, self-healing deployment platforms, and knowledge-graph tooling that allows AI systems to reason about FBA services. You will operate with startup intensity, focusing on measurable impact by reducing operational toil for other engineering teams. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development experience, including programming, system design, architecture, and full software development life cycle management. Experience as a mentor or tech lead is required, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Experience building automation, platform, or developer-productivity systems such as CI/CD and observability tools. A strong interest in applying LLMs and AI-native approaches to real-world engineering problems is highly valued, as is a bias for measurable impact and the ability to innovate in an ambiguous, high-ownership environment.
