About this role
The Senior Platform Engineer (AI Focused) will join the Platform Engineering organization at EarnIn to design, build, and operate AI-assisted capabilities within the company's infrastructure and developer tooling. This hands-on role involves splitting time between standard platform engineering and AI engineering to ship production-grade AI-assisted workflows. Responsibilities include designing MCP servers to expose platform capabilities to AI agents, implementing agentic workflows for platform operations like incident triage and deployment validation, and operationalizing LLM-based features such as RAG and structured prompting. The engineer will also manage Kubernetes infrastructure on AWS EKS, maintain GitOps-based continuous delivery, and implement FinOps automation to optimize AI/LLM spend. Success is measured by developer efficiency, platform reliability, and operational cost improvements. Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, 4+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering, and strong coding skills in Python or Go. Candidates must have deep experience with Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Helm. Practical experience with agentic AI workflows, LLM gateway patterns, and observability tools like Datadog is required. This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, requiring 2 days on-site.
