About this role
The Senior Manager, AI and Innovation shapes the technical vision for AI adoption and coordinates its execution across Salesforce’s delivery organization. The role designs, scales and governs AI and Agentforce-driven architectures, connecting technical decisions to business outcomes and customer value. The posting lists India - Bangalore and an Office - Flexible arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Define AI architecture strategy, standards and design patterns aligned with business and platform roadmaps. Evaluate LLMs, agentic frameworks and automation platforms; assess proposed initiatives for feasibility, technical risk and total cost of ownership.
- Partner with delivery, product and engineering leaders, and coordinate engineering, data, product and delivery teams so architecture decisions are implemented consistently. Lead architecture reviews and governance checkpoints, resolve dependencies across AI workstreams, and mentor technical teams and solution architects.
- Prototype and ship AI solutions, including agents, automations and integrations, from concept through production readiness. Use working demos, MVPs and proofs of concept to test value while ensuring solutions can scale beyond prototypes.
- Own technical quality; monitor scalability, reliability, cost-efficiency and security posture. Ensure compliance with data governance, responsible AI and security standards, and provide escalation support for complex AI architecture issues.
Required qualifications
At least 13 years in software or solution architecture, with demonstrated depth in AI/ML or agentic systems architecture. Candidates must have delivered enterprise-scale AI solutions, such as LLM-based systems, automation platforms or Agentforce; understand cloud-native architecture, integration patterns and platform scalability; and combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical coordination across teams. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are required. Salesforce platform architecture experience is highly valued.
Preferred qualifications
Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or equivalent certification; experience with AI governance or risk frameworks, mentoring architects and senior engineers, and multi-org, multi-cloud or complex enterprise environments. Hands-on AI agent deployment, use of Gemini, Cursor or Claude for coding and prototyping, and familiarity with prompt engineering, LLM orchestration and agentic tool-use patterns are also preferred.
