Capco seeks a Senior Data Governance - AI Driven Metadata Management professional in Bengaluru, India, with 5+ years of experience. The role owns the vision and roadmap for AI-enabled metadata management under the Chief Data Officer’s enterprise data strategy, supporting governance, data quality, lineage, regulatory compliance and access to data across banking operations.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize capabilities that improve transparency of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and Critical Risk Measures (CRMs) in risk and finance reporting. Translate business and regulatory needs into functional specifications for metadata platforms and AI-driven solutions.
- Define AI/ML use cases such as mapping business terms to physical data, automated lineage and duplicate detection. Identify opportunities to automate metadata discovery, classification and control monitoring; work with data science and technology teams to validate models for regulatory and audit use cases.
- Work with business and functional teams on metadata capture and enrichment standards. Engage senior stakeholders across the three lines of defense, run workshops on requirements such as BCBS 239 lineage and ownership traceability, and promote consistent governance and accountability.
- Ensure metadata practices support BCBS 239, Basel III, GDPR, AML and data privacy obligations. Define KPIs and dashboards for metadata quality, completeness and usage, and work with audit, compliance and regulators to demonstrate governance effectiveness.
- Develop, test and refine AI prompts; analyze large datasets for decision-making insights; document methods and findings; train colleagues in prompt engineering and data analysis; and monitor AI and metadata-management vendor developments.
Required expertise includes metadata management—lineage, cataloging, business glossaries and ownership—regulatory frameworks including BCBS 239 and Basel III, and familiarity with CDE and CRM frameworks and metadata platforms.
