About this role
The Senior AI Forward Deployed Engineer for Cogentiq I2C (Invoice-to-Cash) will own the technical success of AI deployments at strategic accounts. This role bridges the gap between complex finance business problems and production-ready AI systems. You will lead a deployment team, manage architecture decisions, and maintain the technical relationship with customer stakeholders. Responsibilities include setting and defending deployment KPIs, designing agent topologies and retrieval strategies, managing integration with ERP and banking infrastructure, and acting as an incident commander for production issues. You will also contribute to product development by creating reusable assets like reference architectures and connector templates. Required qualifications include 6 to 10 years of experience in building and operating production systems, with at least two years in customer-facing delivery and a proven track record of taking non-trivial AI systems to production. Strong proficiency in Python, system design, LLM and agentic architectures, and cloud deployment (Azure preferred) is essential. Candidates must possess commercial judgment and the ability to communicate effectively with finance and IT leadership. Preferred qualifications include experience in regulated industries, enterprise ERP integration (SAP S/4HANA or Dynamics 365), and prior experience in mentoring or leading engineering teams.
