The Manager, AI Enterprise Engineering - APAC will lead Lenovo's Asia-Pacific engineering team for Qira, a next-generation cross-device Personal AI platform. This role involves both people management and functional leadership, requiring the candidate to build, scale, and direct the regional team while ensuring high-quality delivery of enterprise-ready AI features. Responsibilities include hiring, performance management, career development, and hands-on technical contribution to architecture and development. The manager will coordinate with global teams to ensure follow-the-sun coverage, manage contractor relationships, and establish regional engineering practices. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience managing software engineering teams; 12+ years of experience building distributed systems, platforms, or real-time products; experience scaling teams in the APAC region; strong technical foundation in backend and cloud technologies; and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years of management experience; 15+ years of experience in distributed systems, including 5 years in AI products; experience with enterprise identity, authentication, or cloud deployment (BYOC); familiarity with AI/LLM-based applications; and a Master's degree. The role requires a leader capable of operating in a matrixed organization and contributing to production code.
