Machine Learning-AI and Data Science Engineer III

Deloitte Consulting seeks an AI and Data Science Engineer III for machine learning and data science projects in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune or Chennai. The role designs, develops and deploys enterprise-scale solutions, builds pipelines, manages code deployment across environments and leads end-to-end client projects with cross-functional and global teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems and functional requirements into technical architecture and deliverables; assess integration impacts, resolve ambiguities and follow design, integration and quality standards.
• Lead a 3–5-member team and coordinate Data Engineers, ML/AI Engineers, DevOps and other professionals from project inception through implementation. Mentor junior colleagues, review deliverables and track estimates, plans and project metrics.
• Facilitate daily scrum meetings, manage deliverables, report weekly status to leadership and collaborate with clients, analysts and onsite teams. Create development guides and standards, and automate routine tasks with templates or scripts.
• Apply statistical, machine learning and cognitive techniques to analyze data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions. Contribute to pre-sales, client pursuits and proposals.

Required qualifications

• 6–10 years of relevant hands-on experience in data science, machine learning and statistical modeling; experience leading large-scale, end-to-end projects across industries.
• Strong Python, PySpark and SQL skills, with NumPy, Pandas and Scikit-learn; expertise in classification, regression, time series, decision trees and optimization. Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Git, and Tableau or Power BI; familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP, or NVIDIA.
• Strong communication and client/stakeholder management skills. BE, B.Tech, MCA, MSc or equivalent degree from an accredited university.

Preferred or advantageous: Cloud or on-premises model deployment experience is an added advantage. The posting also prefers candidates who follow research papers and can develop and present data science and machine learning approaches, and those with an AI or cloud certification from a premier institute.
