(IND) STAFF, DATA SCIENTIST

This staff data scientist role leads the development and integration of Generative AI application capabilities across Walmart Luminate product areas. Within Walmart Data Ventures, the position oversees Generative AI applications, including those for customer support and experience. Luminate provides customer-centric insights to support decisions by consumer packaged goods companies and Walmart merchants. The role is based in the Bangalore office for daily work.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI-powered applications while overseeing Generative AI projects across Data Ventures and aligning them with team strategy and company objectives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, prototype and implement solutions, and drive innovation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior scientists in Generative AI and data science.

Qualifications

• The role calls for extensive Generative AI experience; strong knowledge of deep learning, natural language processing and generative AI technologies; and a record of building and deploying advanced applications.
