NTT DATA seeks an Azure Senior AI Engineer to take enterprise AI solutions from concept through deployment and optimization. The role translates business needs into scalable applications and intelligent automation, working with AI architects, product owners, project managers, engineering teams and business stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Build Generative AI, LLM, conversational AI and agentic applications; develop retrieval-augmented generation solutions connected to enterprise knowledge and data. Design prompts, conversation orchestration, AI agents and multi-agent workflows, and select foundation models for business needs, performance and cost.
- Develop Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio assistants, integrate them with Microsoft 365 and enterprise workflows, and establish practices for security, governance and performance. Build Power Automate workflows and, when required, Power Apps; create reusable frameworks, APIs, components and automation accelerators.
- Develop cloud-native solutions using Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Machine Learning and Azure Functions. Build supporting APIs, microservices and backend services; integrate enterprise systems and work with DevOps and platform teams on production readiness.
- Use open-source models such as Llama and Mistral; fine-tune models and deploy inference and model-serving workloads in cloud and GPU-enabled environments. Improve latency, throughput, scalability and cost using techniques including quantization, caching, prompt optimization and model tuning. Monitor performance, support testing and evaluation, and meet Responsible AI, security and compliance requirements.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and support client demonstrations and technical workshops when needed.
Required qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field; 8+ years of software engineering or application development experience, including 3+ years of hands-on AI, machine learning or Generative AI solution development. Strong Python and software engineering skills are required, along with Azure AI and cloud-native development experience, enterprise LLM application development, APIs, microservices, system integration, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred qualifications
A relevant master’s degree; Microsoft Azure AI or Power Platform certifications; experience with Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, MLOps, LLMOps, CI/CD, AI deployment pipelines, Kubernetes, containerized AI workloads or enterprise-scale AI transformation programs.
