AI-Technical Lead

Valtech seeks an AI-Technical Lead in Bengaluru to design, build and optimize AI-first systems for clients and contribute to its AI Accelerators. The role combines technical leadership with translating business opportunities into practical AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary AI team, collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional colleagues to identify use cases and turn abstract business problems into AI solutions.
• Maintain code quality, robust architecture and documentation; facilitate peer reviews, knowledge sharing and team upskilling.

Required qualifications

• The qualifications list specifies 10+ years of overall work experience and 3+ years of hands-on AI engineering experience. The role introduction separately mentions 8+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python; knowledge of source control, CI/CD and automated testing; and familiarity with cloud technologies and managed AI services such as Azure Machine Learning, AWS SageMaker or Google AI Platform.
• Understanding of responsible AI, data privacy, ethical AI development, LLMs, RAG, agentic AI and MCPs, with an interest in current AI research and technologies. Prior involvement in MLOps, model deployment, monitoring and AI workflow automation.
• Critical thinking, communication, teamwork and willingness to learn and share ideas. Agile methodology and consulting experience are a plus.

This is a full-time position based in Bengaluru. Valtech describes compensation as competitive without stating an amount.
