The AI Solution Architect - MQ DIA will lead the end-to-end AI and analytics architecture for Eli Lilly's Manufacturing & Quality (MQ) technology portfolio. This strategic, hands-on role involves setting technical direction, governing AI solution quality, and bridging business strategy to production-grade intelligent systems. Responsibilities include defining architecture for data ingestion, RAG pipelines, agentic orchestration, and GxP-compliant deployments. The architect will lead Architecture Review Boards, produce Architecture Decision Records, and select AI/ML frameworks. Key focus areas include designing multi-agent systems for manufacturing workflows, enterprise RAG architectures, and real-time analytics for predictive quality. The role also involves owning cloud architecture strategy across AWS, Azure, and Databricks, ensuring security and cost governance, and defining MLOps standards. The architect will serve as the governance authority for model explainability and regulatory defensibility, leading CSV framework design under GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (Master's/PhD preferred) and 10–15 years of experience in AI/ML systems and enterprise data platforms, with at least 5 years as a principal or lead architect. Candidates must have 3 years of experience in regulated manufacturing with GxP exposure and expert command of RAG, agentic orchestration, and prompt engineering. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with Veeva QMS, MES systems, and relevant industry certifications.
